Thank you to the people who have responded so far to my recent survey. Some fascinating insights. I'm sure the results are skewed by those who responded but so far 76% of the respondees are tree changers and love the peace and tranquility of living in the valley. Most seem supportive or neutral to more people moving to the area. It is clear though, residents don't want more small blocks. I don't blame them, I don't think we should replicate suburbia up here. We should look to minimum block sizes, I also believe there should be min tree requirements for blocks to ensure privacy. Don't get me started:)
Residents are also looking for night time eatery and more shops. I wonder what sort of shops we need. Personally I'd hate to see the big chains arrive and yet I wouldn't give up my local IGA. But a bigger hardware would be nice. I'd love to hear your views.
