The decision comes on the back of economic data out last week showing inflation was running lower than expected. 

The official interest rate is now 4.75 per cent. Mortgage holders on variable interest rates are being charged a standard variable rate of about 7.83 per cent by their lenders.

After spending much of the weekend planting trees and new native shrubs I couldn't be happier with the drizzle. I stopped by Muchea Trees on Wednesday to grab a couple of trays of natives - lemon scented grevillia and Hakea and others. 

I also picked up 20 Paperbarks which the family and I planted on Sunday morning in memory of my Nephew Andrew.
